The Iguana Bar in the News

  The Iguana bar likes to take an active role in the local community by sponsoring charity events (sponsored walk from Lands end to John O'Groats in aid of the Altszimers society). Taking part in the Chorlton arts festival, Book launches (Golly Wog in the cupboard), hosting the food life awards and helped to sponsor the Stand up 150 show at the Dance house theatre on Oxford road in Manchester. This particular event made it into the Guinness book of records, also sponsored Chorlton Villa and the Stingers football clubs.  
     
  If your lucky, you may see one of the many celebrities that have visited the Iguana bar over the years. A few of which are as follows:

Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Andy Vortel, Elbow, Sterophonics, Happy Mondays, Archie Kelly, Justin Moorehouse, Alan Carr, Tony Burgess, John Bishop, Jipanda, Vanessa Feltz, Julie Hesmondhaigh, Sally Lindsay, Jennie McAlpine  (Hayley, Shelley and Fiz Brown from Coronation Street) and Will Young.

 
     
  Aiwa played the Iguana Bar on Friday 9th of June 2006. They were knock out as usual. Pascal accompanied them with some tracks. And he has been asked to play on their next CD. Check out their website at: http://www.wikkidrecords.com
